“Forest Home uniquely offers opportunities for every age to be in the midst of majestic mountain scenery with shady trails and creek. My husband and I have been coming to “FoHo” as we affectionately refer to it, since the 1980s when we brought our kids to family camp. Now our daughter and her family return with their children, so we continue a generational tradition in Family Camp. The programs are designed with opportunities for relationship strengthening all around, and there are so many beautiful niches to stop, rest, contemplate, pray, meet God for personal quiet moments. The staff is enthusiastically invested and intentional about providing more than just a vacation, but a meaningful and memorable time for families. Thank you FoHo Family!” – Nancy (Generational Family Camper)

"We’ve been enjoying our time with God, blessed by the messages and worship time every morning and at night, the yummy food, the awesome accommodation, the majestic view, the fun lake day yesterday, but most of all the people and Forest Home staff that we meet are so kind, helpful and nice. It’s like a heavenly place. We enjoyed miniature golf, hatchet throwing, walking around to exercise especially by the creek and just getting some rest and reconnecting with God and each other. It truly is a special place to come to. We definitely will recommend Family Camp to everyone, especially at our church and in the Growth Groups. We will forever cherish this week. God bless you. Hebrews 6:10."

By Diane Comer – Intentional Parents
In November 1979, seven months before our first child was born, Phil preached a sermon giving ten reasons all of us should memorize Scripture. Looking at those notes now, I am more than a little amazed at how God used Phil’s studies to form a conviction that would shape the way our family focused on memorization, meditation, and Bible reading.
Here is a list of his ten points, well worth taking time to study:
It is commanded: Deuteronomy 6:6
Overcomes temptation: Psalm 119:11
Gives joy: Jeremiah 15:16
Enables giving a timely answer: I Peter 3:15
For help in teaching family: Deuteronomy 6:7
Gives direction for life: Psalm 119:98
Gives wisdom for life: Psalm 119:98
Builds up strength: Acts 20:23
To discover the knowledge of God: Proverbs 2:1-5
Protects you from sexual sins: Proverbs 6:20-24
